Dr. Strangelove
Did you know the alternate title for Dr. Strangelove was ‘How I Learned To Stop Worrying About The Bomb’? Anyway, it was very clear from the beginning that this was an absurdist film. The whole concept revolved around someone’s paranoia about nuclear war. So, the team did not even write a full script. Instead, the actors all improvised, and then they used those lines to create a ‘retro-script.’ Perhaps, the most iconic part had to be Dr. Strangelove’s lapse into the Nazi salute.
Zoolander
Wow, watching anything Derek Zoolander did from dating to his non-profit work was hysterical! Ben Stiller was phenomenal in Zoolander. However, we’re here to talk about David Duchovny as J.P. Prewitt, the former hand model. During one moment, Duchovny as Prewitt finishes his monologue and Stiller accidentally repeated his line, “Why male models?” Though Stiller messed up, Duchovny went with it, acting exasperated at Zoolander’s confusion and short attention span. The result was too perfect to cut!
