The Shining

Another hit from Stanley Kubrick, The Shining came from the Stephen King novel of the same name. Jack Nicholson’s performance as Jack Torrance was remarkable. Watching him dive into that insanity in the eerie hotel as the winter took hold, seriously gave way to many memorable movie moments. However, we have to pay tribute to the special line that Nicholson changed himself when he axed the door. Just as he peered in, he changed his line to, “Heeere’s Johnny!” as a nod to The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

And of course, Harrison Ford makes his way back onto our list! Surprisingly, one of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back‘s most iconic lines wasn’t scripted. Just as Han Solo gives himself to the Empire, he shares a kiss with Leia. When Leia says, “I love you,” Harrison Ford was supposed to respond, “I love you too.” However, Ford thought his character wouldn’t respond that way. Instead, Ford came up with, “I know.”
