When he played The Creature in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, his prosthesis was called comedically bad, and on top of that, he kept his New York accent, which felt very out of character for The Creature.

Kevin Spacey as Bobby Darin – Beyond The Sea
Beyond the Sea is a 2004 film about singer and actor Bobby Darin who sadly died at 37 after complications following a heart operation. Kevin Spacey co-wrote, directed, and co-produced the film. He also decided to play Darin himself, even though Spacey was actually 45 at the time. This made it difficult for movie goers to watch, since Darin himself never reached this age in reality.
