Red Barn, which was founded in 1961, served up burgers alongside a salad bar in restaurants shaped like its name. They eventually franchised and even opened up restaurants in Canada and Australia. By 1986, the brand became defunct.

Taco Viva

Taco Viva made its debut in 1968 and managed to get up to 85 locations. While its menu was similar to Taco Bell’s, it was considered be me much more authentic Mexican fare. By the 1980’s, all of the Taco Viva locations closed down, leaving its fans to reminisce online.
