People Were Just There to Shop
Why were people parking on Davao’s land in the first place? It seems to be the result of the village that Davao’s farm was nearby being made into part of the city of Zagreb. This meant that the local flea market became well-known to the people of Zagreb who started flocking there to buy wares and goods. There was therefore a sudden and dramatic growth in the number of people at the flea market and many of them needed to park their cars nearby.
They Were Just Taking Advantage of His Land
Davao’s village was a small hamlet called Jakuševac and they were not equipped or prepared to deal with the sudden influx of visitors from the big city to their flea market. Davao’s farm was very close to the flea market and many people drove there from Zagreb, so some of the visitors chose simply to park on his land because it was so convenient to them. This makes sense, but is also pretty disrespectful.
