Abolishing Slavery
With the news ablaze with stories of slave trade happening in Libya, one might have thought that slavery was a thing of the past. Saudi Arabia was a little late when they decided to abolish slavery in 1962, which comparing to Libya, doesn’t seem so bad anymore.
Voting Rights
Saudi Arabia became the last country in the world to grant women the right to vote in 2015. King Abdullah set the law draft in motion in 2011, but it would take four years to come into play.
