Dana Delaney was offered the role of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. It’s hard to picture anyone else but Sarah Jessica Parker in the role, and Delaney turned it down because she had already starred in a similar role Live Nude Girls alongside Kim Cattrall. The roles she took on after turning down SATC were not very successful, including Rescuers: Stories of Courage: Two Couples.

Molly Ringwald was one of the biggest actresses of the 80’s, starring in films like The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Pretty in Pink. She was then offered the role of Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman, which she turned down. The role went to Julia Roberts instead, which made her a huge star.
