Ray Liotta starred in Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, which made him the first choice when HBO was casting for The Sopranos. He turned down the role of Tony Soprano and it went to James Gandolfini. It’s considered to be one of the most iconic shows of all time, while Ray Liotta decided to appear in Muppets from Space and Forever Mine instead, both rather forgettable.

Henry Winkler – Grease

Henry Winkler became a popular actor after he starred as The Fonz in hit TV show Happy Days. He was later offered the role of Danny Zucko in the film version of Grease. Winkler turned it down because he didn’t want to be typecast. The role went to John Travolta instead, making him a huge star. Winkler admitted that he regretted his decision.
