Katie Holmes – The Dark Knight
Katie Holmes played the role of Rachel Dawes in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. However, she was absent from the role in the next two films in the series, 2008’s The Dark Knight and 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises, with Maggie Gyllenhaal in the role instead. Holmes appeared in the failed film Mad Money, which was a poor choice on her part.
Marilyn Monroe – Breakfast At Tiffany’s
When Truman Capote wrote Breakfast at Tiffany’s, he had Marilyn Monroe in mind as Holly Golightly in a film adaptation. Monroe’s agent convinced her not to take the role and she starred in The Misfits instead, a film that ended up being a disaster and reportedly caused her marriage to fall apart. Audrey Hepburn starred as Holly Golightly instead in the iconic role in the classic film.
