In order to fully get into character as Mark Schultz, Channing Tatum took things into his own hands for Foxcatcher. For one part, his character was supposed to have a mental breakdown. Thus, Tatum took it upon himself to begin beating himself up. In fact, it was off script and that’s how he ended up breaking a mirror with his head. Yes, the whole scene wasn’t even planned. However, it came out so authentic and powerful, they knew they captured the perfect scene for the film.

Many parts in The Wolf of Wall Street were actually improvised. When it came to the nude intimate sex scene between Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie’s characters, Martin Scorsese planned for something different. Director Scorsese offered Robbie a robe while they shot the scene. However, Robbie insisted that her character was very much about her physical self and the body. Thus, she went into the filming without clothing, but did down three tequila shots before filming.
