Forrest Gump
Again, another film with way too many quotable lines! However, we’ll just take you to one of these classic moments. There’s a scene where Forrest (played by Tom Hanks) introduces himself to the character Bubba. Hanks improvised his introduction, which came out as, “My name is Forrest Gump. People call me Forrest Gump.” Director Robert Zemeckis saw this line as a great moment and kept it in. Of course, we know this goofy line fit perfectly with Hanks’ character.

The talented director Sam Mendes knew how to let his stars improvise on American Beauty. Mendes really struck gold, especially in the dinner scene. Much of that was totally unscripted. Of course, the cast was given a very rough frame, but they pretty much took the scene into their own hands. So letting the plates go flying and those surprised reactions…all genuine!
