Carrol’s

Carrol’s opened up in 1960 and quickly franchised after being purchased by Herb Slotnik. It was known for its 15 cent burgers. By 1980, all of its locations closed down, but Carrol’s holding company saw an opportunity with up and coming Burger King. Now the company owns over 1000 Burger King locations and some Popeye’s restaurants as well.
