Max Baer Jr. is the only original cast member still alive, and he played Jethro Bodine. He still has a dream to fulfill; he wants to build themed casinos and restaurants throughout Las Vegas about the show. Currently, he has sub-licensing rights for food items and slot machines!

Buddy and Vilma Ebsen moved to Los Angeles back in 1936. The siblings were cast in Broadway Melody, which was nominated for many awards. Everyone knew Buddy was likely to be a star. His sister had a few more parts but later retired, had children, and opened a dance studio.
