According to the toxicology report, Natalie Wood’s blood alcohol content measured at 0.14 percent. As the University of California San Diego Health Services states, one at that level of intoxication experiences, “Gross motor impairment and lack of physical control. Blurred vision and major loss of balance. Your euphoric feelings may give way to unpleasant feelings. Your judgment and perception are severely impaired. You may become more aggressive, and there is an increased risk of accidentally injuring yourself or others. This is when you may experience a blackout.” Also, they found painkillers and motion sickness medicine in her system, which may have exacerbated her intoxication.

Suspicious Death Threat

One witness who came forward following the death was Marilyn Wayne. Wayne, a retired stockbroker, had a boat anchored close by to the Splendour. Just three days after the mysterious death of Natalie Wood, Wayne got an anonymous death threat. In the note, it said, “If you value your life, keep quiet about what you know.” Upon receiving this troubling note, she contacted her attorney.
