Directorial Debut
Years later, Wilder was becoming a success! He was even able to move from acting to directing, as well. The Adventure of Sherlock Homes’ Smarter Brother in 1975 was his first movie he directed. Wilder had also written the script. The following year, he starred alongside Richard Pryor in Silver Streak. Actually, Pryor got the role on Wilder’s recommendation.

So we mentioned his adopted daughter and his father like role with former costar, Kelly Le Brock. Clearly, Gene Wilder was a very warm and loving person. Thus, it’s no surprise that he considered his nephew a son to him. Actually, his nephew, Jordan Walker-Pearlman, is a screenwriter and director. Runs in the family I guess.
