As if working on Indy wasn’t enough, Spielberg and Melissa Mathison actually wrote a script during their breaks on the set of Raiders! Yes, they really wrote what became a cult classic, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial! Mathison had come to visit Ford, her husband when Spielberg told her about his story idea.

Since the franchise became such a hit, something had to be done with Indy’s bullwhip. Naturally, it was auctioned off for $43,000 in London back in 1999. However, his famous hat and jacket are currently at the Smithsonian Museum on display for the public.
