Russian Olive Trees

While Russian olive trees are lovely, thanks to their silver hued leaves and sleek trunks. However, they attract birds that then eat their fruit, spreading their seeds and then quickly take over areas. They can quite literally choke out other plants nearby, and these trees are very resilient and hard to kill. They’re really not a good idea for backyards.

Sycamore Trees

Sycamore trees are very pretty, but they leave behind a big mess in their wake. They cause so much plant litter between their shed leaves and seeds that they are quite high maintenance. They also frequently fall victim to fungal infections, which cause even more foliage. It becomes really challenging, if not nearly impossible, to clean up after these trees.
