Harmony Santana first starred in the 2011 movie Gun Hill Road, which earned her an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress, the first trans woman to earn this nomination. She became a spokesperson for Homeless Youth and Bullying after living in a group home for LGBTQ+ youth early in her life.
Calpernia Addams
Calpernia Addams is a trans rights advocate who was a member of the US Marine Corps and Navy. During her last year of service she came out as trans. She chose the name Calpernia after the character in the Shakespeare play Julis Caesar. She penned her own play that was shortlisted for the Feminist Fest Award.
