Gigi Hadid is one of the most famous models in the world right now. She is the daughter of the Dutch supermodel, Yolanda Hadid, and her father is Mohamed Hadid, a real estate developer originally from Palestine. What is not so well-known about her is her struggles. Hadid suffers from Hashimoto’s Disease, a thyroid condition which can cause difficult symptoms like exhaustion and depression. On top of that, she was assaulted in 2016 by the Ukrainian prankster Vitalii Sediuk, and valiantly defended herself. She is so strong.

She may be known for her acting and modeling pursuits, but there’s much more to Emily Ratajkowski than that! Born in London to intellectual parents, Ratajkowski’s family moved around before mostly settling in San Diego, California. Her religious background is also mixed, as her father is a Roman Catholic and her mother is Jewish. Ratajkowski’s descent is a mixture of German, Irish, Polish ,and Polish Jewish. Like her parents, she is also interested in philosophy, and describes herself as having been influenced by feminism.
