When you think of The Office, you have to admit Jim and Pam’s adorable romance is one of the first things that comes to mind. Did you know that the proposal scene was what the producer called the “the most expensive and elaborate shot we’ve ever done, but it’s also sort of the highlight of five years of storytelling.” That’s because they built a replica rest stop for it, and it cost about $250,000. John Krasinski is the perfect Jim, but he almost messed up his audition completely. While in the waiting room, a man asked him if he was nervous. So he said, “I love the British show so much and Americans have a tendency to just really screw these opportunities up. I don’t know how I’ll live with myself if they ruin it for me.” That man then said he was the executive producer. Whoops!
