A new year means a new batch of shows to watch! From new releases on Netflix to old shows returning, we want to give you a rundown on all the most talked about shows for the year. We’re going to get to everything from HBO’s Westworld to Netflix’s British dark comedy The End of the F***ing World.
Westworld
Not many shows can compete with all the hype surrounding the return of HBO’s Westworld. If you didn’t catch the first season, the show involves a future society that has created a Western theme park with robots or also known as android hosts. These hosts appear identical to humans. As you may have guessed, the question of consciousness is at play during Westworld. Anyway, season two of this HBO hit show comes out April 22. Starring Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright and Anthony Hopkins, to name a few, this J.J. Abrams produced Westworld is not a show to miss!
The Rain
Now, this Netflix show is exciting news! That’s because The Rain is Netflix’s first Danish show. Anyway, Netflix’s The Rain is about a post-apocalyptic world with everything from nuclear warfare to zombies. Naturally, this Netflix original Danish show takes place in Scandinavia. So, if you’re not easily scared and enjoy a good zombie show, then tune in to The Rain, which was co-created by Jannik Tai Mosholt the man behind Danish hit show Borgen. The Rain comes to Netflix sometime this year.
