Wendell Berry And Sam Elliott
Elliott says that he has always been a fan of Wendell Berry’s writings and would not miss an opportunity to dine with him. In response to this, Wendell had an interesting reply. Wendell was overjoyed and said, “Well, my God, I’ll build a truck, and then I’ll drive the truck to ferry him to dinner at the table of his choosing. I would walk a very long mile to share a sleeve of Saltines with Sam, let alone a plate of steak.”

Why Movies
When asked why he chose acting over other careers, Sam admitted that he went to see many movies when he was a child. Interestingly enough, this only heightened his desire to work in the industry. He also says that he did a lot of things when still in school and had the vision to do films.
