US presidents are only allowed to be in office for a total of eight consecutive years if they manage to win a second term in office. Barack Obama was one of these U.S. presidents who won a second term and extended his presidency for four more years. On January 20th, 2017, Obama and his family had to leave the most iconic house in the US, the White House. However, this may not have been such a bad thing for them after all. Since their departure, there has been much speculation about the Obamas’ home. Here what it looks like.
A New Residence
After moving out of the White House, Barack Obama had a net worth of more than $40 million. This is according to a GoBankingRates estimate that was done in 2018. That’s why it’s no surprise that the Obamas now live in the posh Kalorama neighborhood.
The home has an estimated value of between six and eight million dollars and was rented for more than $22,000 each month. The family initially rented the home before purchasing it and giving it some expensive and luxurious upgrades.
