In 2020, the HBO documentary Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind was released. It was made by her daughter Natasha Gregson Wagner, who took her stepfather’s last name, and never suspected him as being involved with her mother’s death. Natalie’s sister Lana has been estranged from her nieces for years because she does believe that Wagner was directly involved with Natalie’s death. As for Walken, he says that it was a tragic accident. Davern has recently revealed that Wood was scared the entire trip and feared that she would be killed. The full truth may never be discovered.
