Tragedy Renewed Interest
Creator Donald P. Bellisario revealed that the 9/11 tragedy brought in more viewers. He said, “When 9/11 unfortunately happened, that gave us some impetus among people who had never seen `JAG’ before to just see what the military was like. People always forget the military until there’s a crisis. That’s why I’ve always been trying to show the military and tell stories about the military. As a former Marine, [that’s] close to my heart.”
