Even though things picked up, he never got quite as popular as his earlier days. Though, Macaulay seemed to enjoy his work quite fine. He chose several independent projects like the movies, Sex and Breakfast and The Wrong Ferrari. In The Wrong Ferrari, he got to portray himself all over the world, as they shot, all on an iPhone, everywhere from Prague to the shores of New Jersey!

It wasn’t just the appearance on Will & Grace, that gave Macaulay time on TV. Back in 2004, he guest starred on Foster Hall. Then, he landed a bigger role on NBC’s Kings in 2009, playing an exiled nephew of the king. For five years, beginning in 2005, he was involved with Robot Chicken on Adult Swim.
