They say life imitates art, but sometimes art imitates art, like in this case. When Twentieth Century Fox gave the film The Predator the green light, they had no idea what a mess was waiting for them. Steven Wilder Striegel, who was a friend of the film’s director Shane Black, was cast in the film. While Black knew that Striegel had served six months in prison for attempting to lure a 14 year old into a sexual relationship online, the rest of the cast had no idea. The worst part was that Streigel was meant to play a character that repeatedly hits on Olivia Munn’s character. When people found out about his conviction, he was fired and the scene was cut from the film.

John Wayne as Genghis Khan – The Conqueror
John Warne played Genghis Khan in The Conquerer in 1956, and the film has since been called one of the worst films of all time. The most tragic part of the film was the fact that 91 out of the 220 film crew members developed cancer and later 46 of them died, and it turned out that the filming site was too close to a nuclear test site. To add insult to injury, the film was universally panned.
