When it comes to kids, they are really known for saying exactly what they’re thinking. Most kids have not yet developed the sense of hedging in order to protect others’ feelings, so often they’ll end up saying something that their parents are not expecting. That’s why school assignments like these may end up revealing some unpleasant truths that parents definitely don’t want brought up while their kids are in class. Check out these hilarious drawings and homework assignments that truly prove that kids say the darndest things.
Chubby Problum
This kid was asked the question “who eats the most at a picnic?” with the two answer choices being mosquitoes and the dog, however he had other ideas about what the right answer is. Instead, he wrote: “My Dad. He is chuby. He has a problum,” and we wonder how his dad may have reacted to this worksheet answer. Maybe it helped kickstart some healthier habits!
Freudian Slip?
When this child decided to make his father a nice card, most likely for Father’s Day, he sketched out big bubble letters for the word “World’s,” then added in greatest, and then “Farter.” Now, it’s not clear if that was a cheeky in-joke, a Freudian slip, or a not so subtle hint, but either way, it’s pretty hilarious that this kid then crossed out the word “farter” and replaced it with “father.” At the very least he gets points for creativity.
