Geri’s Hamburgers
Former McDonald’s Vice President Geri decided to try a hand at the hamburger game and opened up Geri’s hamburgers. It was initially just a takeout restaurant but soon had some seating options. By 1981 the company’s success began to decline and it was shuttered completely by 1999.

Heap Big Beef
Heap Big Beef was known for its roast beef sandwiches and was most successful in the 1960’s. However, the restaurant chain was not able to translate its success to the long-term, and by the 1970’s, all of its locations were shut down.
