Casa Bonita
Casa Bonita was founded in Oklahoma an offered up Mexican style fast food. It was known for its sopapillas as well as all-you-can-eat chicken or beef platters. It was eventually sold and rebranded in 1993, though one location remains in Lakewood, Colorado.
Chi-Chi’s
Chi-Chi’s was founded in Minnesota and served up salsa and Mexican food. Chi-Chi’s downfall came when it has the largest hepatitis A outbreak in the history of the U.S. Outback Steakhouse bought out all of its locations in the U.S, disappearing by 2004. However, international locations still exist in Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
