Because of their small size, Lhasa Apsos do well in apartments and small spaces like retirement homes. They’re very affectionate animals and are loyal companions. They’re ideal for older persons because they’re independent but loveable too. They have an average life span of 14 years.

The Japanese Chin doesn’t need much exercise and is happy to sit on your lap for the most part of the day. They’re easy to groom and only need a brush once a week. Unlike most small breeds the Japanese Spaniel is not big on barking.
