In 1927, Metropolis was released, making it the most expensive silent film to have been made at the time. This Fritz Lang directed science fiction German expressionism film explored the social class divide. There were only 4 posters of the film created at the time. One of them is located in the Museum of Modern Art, another is at a museum in Germany, and one is part of a private collection.
