In May 1994, 20 days after Lisa Marie Presley divorced her first husband Danny Keough, she married Michael Jackson. By January 1996, she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Over the next four years after the divorce, they tried to work things out, but decided they were better off as friends. She was devastated by his death in 2009. Presley herself passed away in 2023.

During the late nineties, actors Winona Ryder and Matt Damon began dating, keeping a relatively low profile for a celebrity relationship. Though their relationship didn’t last, in 2009, Ryder said only nice things about her ex: “Matt couldn’t be a greater, nicer guy. I’m really lucky that I’m on good terms with him.”
