Raghib “Rocket” Ismail played for the Canadian Football League before making it in the NFL, playing for several teams over a decade and earning an impressive $20 million. After he retired, he made some bad business decisions with his investments and he lost is all, leading to his bankruptcy.

Archie Griffin was considered one of the best running backs in college when he played for Ohio State University in the 1970’s. He signed a multi-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. His promising career did not pan out, and he underperformed in his professional career. By 1982, he was completely broke with a failing shoe business, and had to filed for bankruptcy.
