Cut Off At The Peak
It’s funny to think about the days before the Internet. A Dutch television station somehow thought that Beverly Hillbillies’ run had ended in 1966. When they ran the last episode they had, the show’s popularity was at its peak. They did not realize the mistake until 1973, two years after the show actually ended.
Critically Panned
Although Beverly Hillbillies had a run that lasted for nine years, a lot of critics still did not seem to be on board. They said the show was “strained and unfunny” and “painful to sit through.” Despite this, the show earned seven Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
