AC, All The Time
In most places in the United States, and especially in states with a hotter climate, it is perfectly normal for the air conditioning to be on 24/7, full-blast. A lot of Europeans find this to be a completely foreign concept, and many restaurants and shops in non-American countries do not even have air conditioning at all.
Long Street Numbers
The system for numbering buildings on streets in the United States has been pretty much the same since the 1700s. This system is used to make things easy for the U.S. Postal Service, but it has many non-Americans quite confused. To people from outside the U.S., the numbers may seem incredibly long, maybe even excessively long.
