Air Force One is nuclear-resistant and can withstand nuclear blasts, even if it’s grounded. In fact, it’s been put through tests to ensure that’s true, which is comforting to the presidents and their families who use it.

When a president goes to any town, the airport hosting Air Force One is aware of it. The air space must be cleared one hour before arrival. Overall, the plane is self-contained, so there are no outside services necessary. Then, the president goes to “The Beast” (Cadillac One).
