Remember Natalie Wood?
The world fell in love with Natalie Wood who starred in films like, Miracle on 34th Street, Rebel Without a Cause alongside James Dean, West Side Story and Splendor in the Grass. She was nominated for three Oscars before she was 25 years old! As a teenager, the press called her “the most beautiful teenager in the world.” So how did this former co-star of James Dean end up falling from the 60 foot yacht, owned by her and husband Robert Wagner, to her death at age 43?
First Marriage
Natalie Wood was actually married to TV star Robert Wagner of Hart to Hart twice. Apparently, she crushed on the older star since she was young. At age 18, she went on her first date with the then 26 year old Wagner. Just one year after, they married in December, 1957. The two divorced in April 1962 with Wood charging her ex-husband of “mental cruelties.”
