Despite the autopsy report that seemed highly unlikely to be from a drunken fall, looked consistent with a beating and showed lots of bruises on Kathleen’s body, Peterson did not speak on any of that. He did not bring up the family’s troubling finances, his emails to a male escort, or Kathleen’s $1.6 million life insurance policy. Rather, he only spoke to the media to accuse both the DA and police of unfair treatment and conspiracy, painting himself as a victim.
