But also: 40 specially trained Ecuadorian Llamas, 6 Venezuelan red Llamas, 142 Mexican Whooping Llamas, 14 Noth Chilean Guanacos (CLOSELY RELATED TO THE LLAMA) Reg Llama of Brixton, 76000 battery Llamas from “LLAMA-FRESH” Farms near Paraguay. And of course Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones. This was the first feature film either of the two directed but Gilliam went on to an extremely successful directing career – The Fisher King, 12 Monkeys and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas.

Originally scripted to span time periods of Medieval and Modern London, they ended up sticking with only medieval due to Jones’ interest in the time period.
