When this author won the Tournament of Champions in 1996, he was the show’s 4th biggest winner. So, how much did this champion win? In total with tournaments, he won $203,901! After his big win, he wrote about his time on the show and some practice questions in a book titled, How to Get on Jeopardy! and Win! Actually, champ Ken Jennings cited this as the best prep for the show! Guess we should get reading so we can end up on this list.

Watson

Yes, this is a robot, but hey, we can’t have a list of Jeopardy! champs without Watson. Come on! As many of you may know, this IBM robot beat the biggest champions in the show’s history, who we will get to. Supercomputer Watson won $77,147 in those two special exhibition matches. After claiming victory over his human competitors, Watson got a prize of $1 million! Don’t worry IBM promised to donate the winnings to the World Community Grid and World Vision nonprofits.
