What’s James Doing Now?
After sealing his place in Jeopardy! history, Holzhauer has become quite the celebrity. However, his newfound fame and fortune hasn’t gone to his head. In fact, shortly after his Jeopardy! run ended, he donated $10,000 to an organization for displaced teens in Las Vegas, his hometown. James’ appearance on the show helped its ratings skyrocket, an impressive feat as the show is in its 35th season.

Between all the tournaments and his 4-game streak, Russ won $345,800! When he first interviewed for the show he told the contestant coordinators that if he won, he would buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend. Afterwards he said, “Little did I know that Jeopardy! would not only pay for the ring, but also a wonderful wedding and a down payment on a house with plenty to spare.” In addition, he bought his wife the pet sitter company she was working for at the time.
