In 1986, the cult classic Crocodile Dundee debuted at #1, and instantly became a worldwide box office hit. Maybe it had something to do with Paul Hogan’s portrayal as the legendary Australian crocodile hunter or Linda Kozlowski portrayal as the brilliant Sue Charlton or maybe it was because of its bizarre premise. No one really knows for sure, all we know is, Crocodile Dundee made a lasting impression, even sparking two more films after. Take a look at what the stars of the Dundee trilogy are up to today.
John Meillon
No doubt about it, John Meillon really stole the show as Dundee’s on-screen partner, Wally. Meillon reprises his character once more in the sequel, Crocodile Dundee II, but this role would basically be his last, however he did a ton of work in theater instead of on-screen. Sadly, Meillon passed away in 1989 from cirrhosis in his liver.
Jere Burns
If there’s one thing all of us remember from the Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles flick, it’s the character of the ultimate bad guy, Arnan Rothman. Jere Burns’ career however really took off after Dundee, he’s starred in a few hit television shows like From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and Justified as Wynn Duffy.
