Too Funny For The Part
Obviously, Anna Faris is now celebrated as one of the funniest actresses. However, this actually prevented her from landing the role of Claire in HBO’s Six Feet Under. Apparently, the show’s creator, Allan Ball could not stop laughing during her audition, even though Faris wasn’t trying to be funny. Thus, the role went to Lauren Ambrose since Faris was ‘too funny’ for the part.
